It was an absolute joy and pleasure to work with these 2 precious little boys.  To help mom tell her boys apart she had actually painted on of their fingernails with nail polish.  Good thing she did because I really could not tell these two apart.  Thank you Heather for entrusting me with your two little men.

Words cannot explain just how amazing it is to be present for a birth.  I must keep it pulled together so that I can see through my view finder, but sometimes the tears come through I must admit, and I am always amazed at the miracle I’ve witnessed.  It is such an honor when I am asked by families to photograph a birth.  It is such a personal experience that I am a part of and will always hold close to my heart.  The emotions are so raw, this is what I love……life.

Welcome to a little bit of my life! I’ve decided to join in a “10 on 10” blog circle. What is a blog circle you ask, (as I did). It’s a group of 10 ladies, in our case all photographers, who document 10 images from our ever so exciting lives, and post them on the 10 day every month. So instead of the focus being on my clients, which is so much easier, I have learned, the focus will be on me and my life and my family. At the end of each blog post we “link” to the next photographers blog. Be sure to check out the link at the end of my post to check out Amy Shertzer Photography, and her take on the 10 on 10. The group of ladies I have joined with for this “blircle” of sorts, is from a forum I belong to called, 4 the Love Of Focus. It is an amazing forum for photographers, that is dedicated to professional women photographers seeking to share marketing and business ideas with each another. Awesome, awesome group of ladies!

Anyways……what have I learned doing my first 10 on 10? It’s tricky, and not as easy as I thought it was going to be. This particular day that I chose to document was a rather slow paced Saturday. It then picked up in speed mid afternoon as we got a call from my husbands nephew. He had box seat tickets for The London Knights and I had then realized I must take my camera on the road. We went out for a lovely supper and I realized that I was uncomfortable whipping out my D700 while eating supper at a fancy restaurant. So I whipped out my iphone and took a few snap shots……not posting them though, dark restaurant = really crappy pictures. I am however excited for this 10 on 10 and learning more about myself, my photography, my style. I’m ever evolving I’ve learned, and this is a good thing!

Time to share, enjoy:)

8:00 a.m. breakfast has already been served and here you will find Levi opting to do crafts for a better part of the morning instead of eating, very typical, and very happy. Hence the look of accomplishment on his face;)

9:00 a.m. This is Lindsay. Crafty and creative child #2, playing in, of all places, her closet. This girl has an imagination like you would not believe and is as unique as they come:)

10:30 a.m. My big girl helping daddy dry wall the rest of the basement.

12:30 p.m. Lunch time. Homemade Hungarian Csiga soup, yummo!

1:00 p.m. Pierce and Lindsay goofing around. Notice outfit change #3 for Lindsay?

2:00 p.m. Family walk in the bush! Outfit change #4.

3:00 p.m. Managed to sneak out to buy my new favourite perfume “Lovestruck” by Vera Wang.

London Knights game:)
